Brain Health Assessment

Book Cover

Questionnaire from the book "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life" by Dr. Daniel Amen.

Assess your brain function in 10–15 minutes

Do you want to better understand why you experience certain difficulties with concentration, mood, anxiety, stubbornness, or temper?

Dr. Daniel Amen — one of the pioneers in the use of brain imaging in psychiatry — has developed convenient self-questionnaires that help assess the function of key brain areas: the prefrontal cortex, anterior cingulate gyrus, basal ganglia, limbic system, and temporal lobes.

Why take this questionnaire?

  • You will get a clear picture of which brain areas are most likely to have an imbalance (underactivity or overactivity).
  • You will understand the biological reasons for problems with attention, mood, cognitive flexibility, anxiety, or outbursts of irritation.
  • You will be able to choose more precise and effective solutions: diet, supplements, lifestyle changes, or, if necessary, medical support.
  • This is a great first step to stop blaming your "character" and start working specifically with the brain systems that need help.

The questionnaire does not replace professional diagnostics and a visit to a doctor, but it provides highly valuable insight and often explains what previously seemed inexplicable.

Taking the Amen Questionnaire takes only 10–15 minutes. After completing it, you will immediately see the results for each brain area and brief recommendations for correction, if necessary.

The questionnaire is taken from the book "Brain and Soul" (Мозг и душа), which can easily be found online. (Please note that there is a book by another author with the same title, but we are specifically talking about "Daniel AMEN. Brain and Soul"). The recommendations are also taken from this book.

We also recommend finding another book by Daniel Amen, "Change Your Brain — Change Your Life!" - in it you can find good practices for independent work and a more detailed description of the various brain systems.
